Job Responsibilities:
As the technical lead for the project:
- You will proactively
take the lead in designing and implementing key functional areas of the
website, working closely with Amazon’s Global Platform.
- This includes mobile.
website search and discovery, checkout experience, country specific
payment and fraud solutions, website traffic generation, merchants@,
Fulfillment by Amazon and Amazon operations.
- You will work
extensively with cross-functional teams across Amazon’s website, ecommerce
and fulfillment platform on the design and development of core platform
functionality
- You will work with the
business team and project managers to convert functional requirements into
detailed technical specifications.
- You will work with
engineers both onsite and offsite to define technical tasks and build
detailed implementation plans.
- You will also
participate in and provide design inputs towards the Platform initiative
for streamlining international expansions.
- Post launch, the team
will continue to innovate and build solutions to support business growth
and launch new features.
- You will be a technical
mentor to the engineers on your team and support management in hiring and
building a world class team.

Degree in Computer Science
Candidate Experience Required: 0-3 Years
Keyskills Required:
- An
advanced degree in Computer Science, Math of related field, with 3+ years
of relevant experience.
- Broad
based programming experience in at least one of Java, C++, C#, Perl or
Ruby.
- Successful
record of designing and developing large-scale, highly available internet
applications, with a deep understanding of service oriented architecture
and website technologies.
- Self-directed
and capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills.
- A great
problem solver, enthusiastic and innovativ
Preferred Qualifications
Domain knowledge on online ecommerce
would be a plus.
