Qualification & Eligibility Criteria:

A. Trainee -Operator / Technician
Stipend of ` 7500/- per month during 01(One) year traineeship. On absorption to be placed in Pay Band of ` 6300 – ` 20200 with Grade Pay of ` 2600.

C. Nurse cum Midwife

Part time courses / courses undertaken through Distance mode / 
degrees from Open Universities / sandwich courses shall not be considered.

D. Security Officer 

Pay Band of ` 15600 – ` 39100 with Grade Pay of ` 5400.

• Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from any institution / university recognized by the UGC with at least 5 yrs service in Defense / Para Military service / Short Service Commission not below the rank of Lieutenant / Assistant Commandant.

• Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from any institution / university recognized by the UGC with at least 50 % marks, having proficiency in English language. Candidates must knowthe operations of MS Office and must have minimum speed of 100 words per minute in shorthand with Computer key depression speed of at least 8000 per hour. Knowledge of typing in Bengali font will be considered as an added qualification. Candidates having graduated through distance education mode / Open University shall not be considered.
• Age Limit: 30 yrs as on 01.04.2013 for General category candidates. Age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC / ST, 03 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD candidates. Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen applicants shall be applicable as per norms. 

F. Medical Officer

Pay Band of ` 15600 – ` 39100 with Grade Pay of ` 5400.

• Qualification: MBBS from any institute of repute recognized by the Medical Council of India, having completed 01(one) year internship. Preference shall be given to candidates having 01(one) year experience of House Staff ship in Medicine / Cardiology / Pediatrics / Child Care.

applied for at the reverse of the demand draft / bankers cheque.SELECTION PROCESS:
Eligible candidates will be required to appear for written test to be held in Kolkata only.
• For the position of Trainee – Operator / Technician, Assistant Sub Inspector (Security), Nurse cum Midwife, Radiographer, 
Pharmacist, Laboratory Technician, Librarian, Security Officer and Medical Officer, selection will be made on the basis of written 
test and interview only. However, candidates appearing for the written test shall be shortlisted for appearing in the personal 
interview. 
• For the positions of Assistant Manager – IT and Assistant Manager – Legal, selection will be made on the basis of written test, 
group discussion and interview. However, candidates appearing for the written test shall be shortlisted for appearing in the 
group discussion and personal interview.
• For Assistant Teacher, selection will be made on the basis of written test, class demo and personal interview. However, 
candidates appearing for written test shall be shortlisted for appearing in Class Demo and Personal Interview. 
• For Stenographer position selection will be made on the basis of written test, trade test (short hand & computer proficiency) 
and personal interview. However, candidates appearing for the written test shall be shortlisted for appearing in the trade test
(shorthand & Computer Proficiency test) followed by Personal Interview. 
Besides, final offer of appointment shall be made upon review of reports of medical fitness test of the candidate.

1. Before registering / submitting applications on the website, the candidates should possess valid:

c. Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque number
d. Scanned copy of recent passport size colored photograph of the candidate (not more than 50KB size), and digital signature of the candidate (not more than 20KB size).
2. The candidates can access the online application form at www.wbpdcl.co.in . Online registrations will be open from 10:00 hrs of 07.08.2013 to 17.00 hrs of 06.09.2013.
3. All correspondence with candidates shall be done through E-mail only. All information regarding examination schedule / download of Admit Card / Interview Call letters, etc. shall be provided through E-mail only or through the WBPDCL website. Further mentioned,that no hardcopy mailing of Admit Card / Interview Call letters shall be done by the WBPDCL. Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of Admit Card / Call Letter shall be that of the candidate. The WBPDCL will not be responsible for any loss of E-mail sent due to invalid / wrong E-mail ID provided by the candidate or delivery of E-mails to SPAM / BULK mail folder etc.
4. Screening and selection will be based on the details provided by the candidate hence it is necessary that the applicants should 
furnish only accurate, full and correct information. Furnishing of wrong / false information will be a disqualification and The
